“This is basically how Star Maker began. I constantly heard music in my head whenever I’m awake or asleep. There is a strong rumbling in my spirit that is ready to burst out through my belly. That is when I know that I have a destiny to fulfill and that destiny has something to do with songwriting. But little did I know that God has a greater plan for me. He not only helped me to become a songwriter but amidst of achieving my dream, I am able to help many others to fulfill their dreams too. I then realized that I am not only meant to just capture songs; I am to help capture the sound of revival in this land, Malaysia.”

As we believe that music play a huge role in church revival, we want to position ourselves in such a way that we will be able to capture the sound of revival especially when such a time is happening and is in fact happening right now! We help musicians and singer-songwriters to materialize their tunes and bring them out to the open. We call such music the Malaysian Revival Music. Star Maker™, a registered company since 2003, started out as music CD distributor.
“Honestly speaking,” said Amelia, Founder and Director. “I did not know Star Maker will, one day, grow to where we are now. I simply took one step at a time and dared myself to dream bigger dreams each time I have arrived at some point where I think I am leading the company to.”

In 2003, we were registered with a proprietorship license but as the company grew, we needed a separate license to hold contracts with artistes and to deal with production. Therefore, we were registered as Revival Music Pte. Ltd. However, because we wanted to be known as Star Maker, we therefore trademarked ourselves as Star Maker™. You will not be aware of this unless you have become one of our Music Maker composers, songwriters, band or artistes. It was under this trademark that Revival Music Sdn. Bhd (732005 W) was established in 2006 to oversee music production and artistes management.

Star Maker Experimenting Theatre is currently being structured since early this year (2008) to run musical productions. Again, this grew out of a need. Our first baby, Rizuan the Musical was written using finalists’ songs from MRSC 2006 as a way to showcase them at the Final Concert. After its premier, Rizuan the Musical had the opportunity to perform elsewhere for different churches and occasions.
As its strength and momentum continue to build up tremendously, I had no choice but to re-package it, to brand it and to hire more experts to take a look at the replay of the production. We sure hope to see other productions in future. All cast members who performed in our productions, although mostly new, are scouted talents and groomed to rise up to the challenge of performing arts. The best thing in all that we are doing is that we make lots of good friends along the way.
Mission
1. We are both a ministry and a business enterprise devoted solely to promote Malaysian Revival Music in order to bring it to a place of recognition in the community of the world. The Malaysian Revival Songwriting Competition (which began in 2005) and Star Maker Experimenting Theatre is our platform where we see our mission come true.
2. We are committed to building a community through songs and music which connects people with an understanding that they do need one another in the same industry.
