Prize and Trophy
Looking back at the past 3 years of MRSC, besides songwriters who have gained huge recognition in the industry, there has been a big pool of talented vocalists, instrumentalists and bands that have walked the stage. Their talents are indisputable and their supporting role helping songwriters win the competition has helped them tremendously since it contributed 30% of the total mark in the Final Competition. Prizes that were given to the MRSC Champion, the First Runner Up and the Second Runner Up are now being revised for the MRSC 2008.
There will be a RM1,000 cash-prize each to The XXX Award for the
Outstanding Vocalist, The XXX Award for the Outstanding Musician,
The XXX Award for the Outstanding Group Performance (Band), The XXX Award for the Outstanding Songwriters, The XXX Award for the Outstanding Music Arrangement, The XXX Award for the Outstanding Composer (Instrumental Music), and The XXX Award for the Outstanding Improviser.
The XXX is the space reserved for sponsors’ names to be filled in for each category. A giant mock cheque with sponsors’ names in-scripted and a special crafted trophy will be presented to the various winners on the Final Competition Award Night of MRSC 2008, which is held on 7th December 2008.Each contestant has responded to the challenge and has come a long way, beating over 100 contestants and finally reigning to the final stage. Therefore, the Award names were changed and prizes were varied to recognize their efforts. But hang on, as this, after all, is a competition meant to encourage songwriting, let’s not forget that the Grand Prize comes with a hefty RM5, 000 cash! On second thought, I think I’m going back to tell my niece to participate in the MRSC 2008. Kudos! |
