- Completed entry form (photocopy and print out are acceptable). Summit all 4 pages with original signature and initial on each page.
- Send your songs in audio CD only. Please put all your entries in one single 800 mb / 70 min CD and label with entrant’s name and track listing of the songs in correct order.
- Entry fee is RM 30 per song. You can enter up to 5 songs in each category.
- Cheque, bank draft and money order (Wang Pos) should be made payable to STAR MAKER ENTERPRISE.
- Payment from countries other than Malaysia must be paid through bank draft.
- ENTRIES MUST BE POSTMARKED ON OR BEFORE 30 AUGUST, 2008.
- Categories: Songwriting, Music Arrangement, Instrumental, Improvisation.
- Specific the genre of your music as Pop, Rock, Ballad, Blues, R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz & etc.
- Preliminary Round: Each category will be short listed to 20 songs or less. The short listed songs and names will be announced on www.starmaker.com.my by 30th Sept, 2008.
- From then, you have to confirm your compulsory attendance and preparation running up (if there is) to the Grand Final Concert & Award Presentation on 7th December 2008. Failing to do so may result your entry being disqualified and given to next in line.
- All the short listed songs from MRSC HEAT will have automation of becoming property of Star Maker (but you still hold the intellectual property right) that allow us to promote your songs in various forms (MP3, ring tone, down loadable in order to appeal to your supporters to support you by SMS shoot out.) - Scholarships offered are music related studies offered by various sponsors with expiry date.
- All entries submitted must be original songs and shall not infringe any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties. Entrants shall, by entry, indemnify and hold MRSC and Star Maker Enterprise harmless from and against any claims inconsistent with the foregoing.
- Songs may have multiple co-writers, but only one name should be designated on the entry form.
- MRSC is open to all amateur and professional songwriters of Malaysian or residents, or born over-sea Malaysian with Malaysian parentage. If entrant is under 18 years old, the signature of consent of a parent or guardian is required.
- Submitted material will not be returned to the entrant.
- MRSC is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, postage due, stolen or misappropriated entries. Entrant should notify Star Maker about your submission by email to mms@starmaker.com.my
- By submitting an application form to MRSC, entrant agrees to be bound by MRSC’s entry rules and regulations established herein.
